About

Meet your clinician

Ethan Lin, M.Ed., BCBA

Ethan Lin, founder and BCBA at Lantern ABA

I founded Lantern ABA to provide individualized, family-centered care through a clear and supportive process.

I’m a Bay Area native who grew up in Cupertino, and I discovered my passion for ABA early in my career while working as a behavior therapist. Since then, I’ve supported toddlers, children, and young adults across home, clinic, and school settings. Those experiences shaped my belief that meaningful progress begins with understanding the whole child and listening closely to the people who know them best.

What I value most is helping children build practical, meaningful skills that support greater independence and participation in everyday life. I see parents as essential partners in their child’s care, and I make space for their insight, questions, and priorities throughout the process. My goal is to be a steady, familiar source of support throughout your child’s care.

Practice philosophy

Progress should support a child’s autonomy, quality of life, and relationships. Together, we develop goals and review them as the needs of your child and family change.

The Lantern ABA model

One BCBA, from start to finish.

I conduct assessments, develop the treatment plan, and provide therapy directly. I also analyze program data and write progress reports.

Many ABA programs divide these responsibilities among several team members. Lantern ABA uses a one-tier model to reduce those handoffs, giving families one consistent point of contact and giving me firsthand information to guide clinical decisions.

Care tailored to your childI tailor treatment to your child’s individual needs, strengths, and evolving goals.
Quick adjustments as neededAs your child’s treating BCBA, I can adjust strategies promptly without waiting for approval from a separate clinical supervisor.
Skills beyond therapyI help your child use skills across people and settings, with parents supporting continued practice beyond sessions.

For families

Support for
parents, too.

I provide parent training as part of your child’s clinical plan, helping you use session strategies in everyday life.

Understanding ABA strategiesI explain key ABA principles and help you practice session strategies that support your child’s learning.
BCBA familiarityI also lead parent training, drawing on firsthand knowledge of your family’s needs and your child’s goals.
